Oh so much has changed within the last two months with baby Maddox. May started with a wonderful Mothers Day. Maddox got mom her favorite present in May- a trip to the flower nursery for summer flowers to plant, and took her to Mothers day brunch- and slept through the entire meal. May was filled with family visitors starting off with dad and Stephanie visiting the first of May and my dad and Kirk the next week. At 6 weeks he discoverd t.v and has enjoyed it ever since. Loves it in the morning and coos and laughs to the cartoons. Every day we wake up to a big smile. The smiles have been so rewarding because he is starting to notice who we are. Those smiles melt mom everytime. The outdoors have become his best friend. He is definately an outdoor little guy. The stroller is getting lots of use to the park for walks and shopping. His two month doctor appointment Sarah accompanied me for the experience of his first shots in which he did so well, just a little hard for me. He weighed in at 13 lbs and 15oz and measured 24 1/2 inches. My growing little man. The night of his two month appointment mom and dad got the pleasure of Maddox's first night sleeping through the night. What a huge milestone!! Neighbors Jay and Carol have a pool which Maddox had his first visit to the pool and ever since we go about 3 times a week. His first time in the pool he loved it!
June has had lots of changes for Maddox and he is really starting to see objects, lifting his head really well, cooing and discovering his hands, clinching his hands together, sooths himself with playing with his hair, and watching his feet. Maddox has been telling us alot of stories that we are trying to put words to. His cooing has really picked up. Mom and Maddox took a car trip to Oklahoma last week and he did very well. A 6 hour trip and no cries involved. We stopped one time to eat and he slept the rest of the time. What a little traveler- for now I should say. Father's day was spent eating brunch with the family and hanging out with dad.
I have a few more days at home with him before I have to go back to work which will be a very sad day. I go back to work July 6th and he will then go to grandma Dee's Tuesday- Thursday and daycare Monday and Friday. It has truly been such a blessing to be able to stay home with him for three months to watch all the changes and spend such precious time with my little guy.

Thanks for sharing Audrey! Maddox is adorable - really growing! Don't you love watching their personality develop?! We'll be thinking of you your first day back to work. It will be hard for you - I've been there done that - but survived it! Its also good for them to get to know other people, make their friends, cuddle with grandma! We'll be happy to have you back at Conklin - we miss you! Jodi Stout
