Oh so much has changed within the last two months with baby Maddox. May started with a wonderful Mothers Day. Maddox got mom her favorite present in May- a trip to the flower nursery for summer flowers to plant, and took her to Mothers day brunch- and slept through the entire meal. May was filled with family visitors starting off with dad and Stephanie visiting the first of May and my dad and Kirk the next week. At 6 weeks he discoverd t.v and has enjoyed it ever since. Loves it in the morning and coos and laughs to the cartoons. Every day we wake up to a big smile. The smiles have been so rewarding because he is starting to notice who we are. Those smiles melt mom everytime. The outdoors have become his best friend. He is definately an outdoor little guy. The stroller is getting lots of use to the park for walks and shopping. His two month doctor appointment Sarah accompanied me for the experience of his first shots in which he did so well, just a little hard for me. He weighed in at 13 lbs and 15oz and measured 24 1/2 inches. My growing little man. The night of his two month appointment mom and dad got the pleasure of Maddox's first night sleeping through the night. What a huge milestone!! Neighbors Jay and Carol have a pool which Maddox had his first visit to the pool and ever since we go about 3 times a week. His first time in the pool he loved it!
June has had lots of changes for Maddox and he is really starting to see objects, lifting his head really well, cooing and discovering his hands, clinching his hands together, sooths himself with playing with his hair, and watching his feet. Maddox has been telling us alot of stories that we are trying to put words to. His cooing has really picked up. Mom and Maddox took a car trip to Oklahoma last week and he did very well. A 6 hour trip and no cries involved. We stopped one time to eat and he slept the rest of the time. What a little traveler- for now I should say. Father's day was spent eating brunch with the family and hanging out with dad.
I have a few more days at home with him before I have to go back to work which will be a very sad day. I go back to work July 6th and he will then go to grandma Dee's Tuesday- Thursday and daycare Monday and Friday. It has truly been such a blessing to be able to stay home with him for three months to watch all the changes and spend such precious time with my little guy.

Maddox's First Month
Maddox has turned one month!
So many daily changes and lots of memories already. He has been really enjoying his eating sessions and filling out his big boy baby figure. He is eating 5 to 7oz each setting (every three hours) and truly enjoys those times and will let us know if we go too much over his scheduled times. We are getting more used to his sleeping habits and just getting used to being sleep deprived enjoying all of the late night feedings. You will really have to get the truth from Brett on that statement. He is pretty consistent through the night up every 3 to 4 hours. He sleeps quite a bit throughout the day giving me a little time to do some things around the house , never knowing how fast I can move to get so many things done in such little time when Maddox is napping.Latest Advancements
Within the last week- Maddox has been following Brett and my voice around with his eyes really recognizing us. We have caught several slight smiles, and doing a lot of stretching and kicking with his legs and throwing of his arms. We still do not know who he truly looks like and have been trying to figure that out since birth, still sporting his blonde hair and blue eyes. A lot of people have their own thoughts but we still don't see any of them. I guess he just looks like Maddox.
We have been blessed with all the family in town and already had several babysitters. Maddox did well for all, at least that is what everyone is telling us. He leaves his spells for mom and dad.
We also want to thank everyone for all of the great baby gifts and I will say he will have a different outfit for the next several months. His closet is full!
We will keep you all updated with new advancements and pictures as we have them.
Enjoy!!!
Love,
Audrey. Brett. Maddox
